#SaturdateShenanigans :: LA Fair 2014

I obsessively checked the dates for the LA Fair since we didn't get to go to the OC Fair this year. Fairs aren't really our thing anyway, but since we haven't been to Disneyland in what seriously feels like five-ever, fairs come semi-close to Disneyland. (OK, let's be real, far from it)

THOUGH, when I looked up the LA Fair, I did come across Luminasia, which is pretty awesome. A separate small entrance fee is required ($9 for adults, $5 for kids), but definitely worth it IMO. Beats Candy Cane Lane without a doubt, but only made me even more anxious for the holidays.

I can't believe August is already over, but mother nature ain't havin' it. It's been 100+ degrees these last few days & my feet have been over-heating. My sweaters and boots are ready to play and I'm ready for November to be here already!

Concrete Jungle Where Dreams Are Made Of -

New York.

Visited my sister and Sean for a weekend in early June. I wanted to buy a wide angle lens for my DSLR to make it easier to carry around. Turns out the lens I bought was more of a zoomed-in lens!

NTS: Don't go buying camera lenses by yourself.

With that being said, I'm not sure if my camera even left the apartment after the day I arrived. I wish I was able to capture more of what I did, but I guess that just calls for another trip. Also, if you live in New York, I'm sure you've heard of Sleep No More - If you haven't, I highly suggest going! I heard that despite how many times you go, you always have a different experience.

#SaturdateShenanigans

With Sean working in Riverside and I working in West Hollywood, it's almost unpractical to physically see each other on the weekdays. That being said, we see each other once a week on Saturdays. We try to do something different each weekend since we don't want to be held captive in the valley. Just kidding, kinda not really. But it does get difficult not to fall into the beautiful temptation of chilling on the couch watching Netflix.

We both grew up in the San Fernando Valley and although that's not too far north of Los Angeles, there are still numerous amount of places we have yet to see. We had a Disneyland pass during the two previous years, so we spent most of our weekends there, but since magic comes with a very expensive price that my wallet can no longer afford, we had to put Mickey and friends aside for now. But I'm 99.99999% fine with that (I'm still going through some Disney withdrawals), because before I even realized it, we both continued finding places that we wanted to check out each weekend - whether it be a new restaurant, an exhibit, a new hiking trail or a show - it makes your Instagram account have variety rather than the Disneyland castle. HA. just kidding, again not really.

#SaturdateShenanigans is the hashtag we use for all our, ya know, Saturdate Shenanigans. I'm trying to get into the habit of taking more photos and creating albums again, but after MySpace years I'm not as attached to my camera than I am at looking at photos and double tappping on Instagram, but I will try!
